About

I’m a 4th year graduate student in linguistics at Stanford; this blog is a way to share my adventures up in the Arctic.

  1. So I stumbled across this in a fit of boredom and an urge to hit the “next” arrow at the top corner.
    And now I’m hooked XD
Granted, I’ve only been able to glance through a few entries, but I’ve gathered enough to know that you’re somewhere pretty chilly and that your access to water can be pretty much classified as “sucks”.
So, what, exactly, are you doing? :)

  2. Hi there,

Well, I’m doing linguistics work in Yellowknife for my dissertation, making some language materials for the community, and so forth.
The water service is okay now; it was just a problem at the beginning when I had to sign up for the water truck.

glad you’re enjoying the blog :)

  3. Ahh, so I just saw that you responded. Sadly, wordpress has yet to officially notify me of this.

I can’t say that I’ve ever had the pleasure of having to sign up for a water truck :X

Ahhh linguistics! I was talked out of taking an intro course in that, and now I regret it terribly.

    keeping warm?
